Proclaim 2018 opens in Brisbane, Australia

Opening today in Brisbane, Australia is Proclaim 2018 a 3-day conference organized by the Archdiocese of Brisbane in partnership with the National Centre for Evangelisation of the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference. Program organizers say that the previous 3 conferences held in 2012, 2014 and 2016 were successful.

Conference sold out

The conference is open to 500 participants, and is sold out. Through a partnership with Shalom World TV, all of the keynote speeches will be broadcast live.

Topics

The Conference’s theme is “Make your home in me”. Conference organizer Eric Robinson explains that it is

designed primarily as a conference to inspire and resource the renewal of parishes.

Leadership, culture change, engaging young people, belonging, and parish renewal are the themes that we be developed through keynote presentations, expert sessions, discussions facilitated by leaders in the field of evangelization, peer learning.

Future Visionary Planning

A Future Visionary Planning component is offering participants the possibility of drafting their own Proclaim Action Plan. Thus Proclaim 2018 will be fruit as these plans are implemented in the local parishes and communities across Australia.
