Pope departs on visit to Baltics
Pope Francis is on his way to Lituania and its capital Vilnius
An Alitalia plane with the Holy Father on board took off from Rome’s Fiumicino Airport at 7.37am this morning.
The first stop on this his 25th Apostolic Journey will be Lithuania. The Pope is expected to arrive in the capital Vilnius at 11.30 local time.
On arrival he will make a courtesy visit to the country’s president and address civil authorities.
As part of his four day trip Pope Francis will also visit Latvia and Estonia
