Seven days with Pope Francis

As a recognized international leader, the Holy Father continually raises his voice to invoke peace throughout the world.

Syria, Myanmar and Paraguay were in the thoughts and prayers of Pope Francis this week, as the Holy Father called for an end to violence and the reestablishment of order and peace in these countries.

The Pope made the appeals despite a full agenda, including time set aside for the weekly Lenten sermons, addressed by the Preacher to the Papal Household to the pontiff and his collaborators in the Roman Curia.

Among the highlights of the Pope's week was the joyful celebration of Laetare Sunday, celebrated with members of the Filipino community in Rome.
