Archbishop Peña Parra visits Honduras for reopening of Apostolic Nunciature

The Substitute for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, travels to Honduras for the reopening of the country's Apostolic Nunciature.

Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra, the Substitute for General Affairs of the Secretariat of State, presides over the reopening ceremony of the Apostolic Nunciature in Honduras on July 12.

His visit to the Central American country begins Thursday and continues until July 13.

On Friday, July 12, according to the program posted on the X account @TerzaLoggia, Archbishop Peña Parra will preside over the reopening ceremony. He is also scheduled to meet with the President of the Republic, Xiomara Castro, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eduardo Enrique Reina García.

On the same day, the Substitute will also meet with the members of the Episcopal Conference of Honduras.

On Saturday, July 13, he will conclude his visit by celebrating Mass with the bishops at the Basilica of Suyapa.
