Archbishop Okoth served Kisumu with dedication

He appreciated the services of Archbishop Emeritus Zacchaeus Okoth whom he said had given his all to the people of the Archdiocese of Kisumu for almost five decades, pointing out that he had served with dedication hence leaving behind a rich legacy which he promises to continue.

I come in humility

“I come in humility as a child of God, a child of the universe and son of the Church that calls us to be rooted in Christ with mother Church.” Echoing the words of St. Paul…..“Be rooted in Christ and build upon Him and establish yourselves in faith” Colossians 2:7, Archbishop Anyolo went on to add that this was at the core of priestly and baptismal vocations. He urged the faithful to form a family of faith rooted in Christ.

The Archbishop invited the Clergy and the religious brothers and sisters to allow Christ be the foundation of their vocation and to always walk with him.

“There is no better way of achieving an uninterrupted union with Christ other than in through the Eucharist. May every celebration of the Eucharist be the greatest way of our existence in the Archdioceses of Kisumu,” he called.

The ceremony was attended by the many Bishops, the clergy and religious, Kenyan Deputy President Dr William Ruto, the former republican Prime Minister Raila Odinga, various government officials both from the national government as well as leaders from the Bungoma and Kisumu Counties.
