Pope Francis continues his recovery in hospital, has lunch with staff
Vatican News
As Pope Francis continues his convalescence in Rome's Gemelli hospital, after absominal surgery, the Holy See Press Office announced on Sunday that:
"The medical staff has informed us that the post-operative recovery of Pope Francis is normal.
The Holy Father continues to be apyretic and haemodynamically stable (no fever, stable heart rate and pressure); he underwent respiratory physiotherapy and continued to move about.
In the course of the morning he followed Holy Mass live on television and received the Eucharist. He then went to the chapel in his private apartment, where he gathered in prayer for the recitation of the Angelus.
He then had lunch with those who are assisting him during these days of his stay in the private apartment (doctors, medical assistant, nurses, staff and Gendarmerie Corps personnel)."
