Pope Francis bids farewell to Marseille
Following a brief farewell ceremony and a final meeting with French President Macron, Pope Francis and the papal entourage depart from Marseille International Airport to return to Rome.

Pope Francis has departed from Marseille International Airport, bringing to a close his two-day visit to the southern French city.
The papal plane departed at 7:28 PM local time, and is expected to land at Rome’s Fiumicino Airport at around 8:50 PM.
Before his departure, the Pope bade farewell to President Emmanuel Macron, and his wife Brigitte, in a brief private encounter at the airport.
Onboard the flight, Pope Francis is due to hold a press conference with journalists accredited to the Holy See who have been covering his visit.
