International Days for Catholic Literature in Rome 26-29 June
By Vatican News
Three days of discussions, debates, forums and exchanges: the aim of these “International Days for Catholic Literature” is to provide Catholic publishers with an opportunity to share their experiences and to promote their publishing initiatives.
Sharing publishing experiences
The Prefect of the Vatican Dicastery for Communication, Paolo Ruffini, will open the event. He will be followed by a variety of publishing professionals who will reflect on the challenges and difficulties that the world of Catholic publishing faces today in an ever-more globalized and digitalized world. These reflections will be enriched by the shared experiences of Catholic publishers on different continents. Other interventions will include presentations by experts in product enhancement, and a representative of an online "library".
A Publishing Fair and a Papal Mass
A Publishing Fair will allow participants to display their products and present their latest initiatives. A series of round table discussions will also facilitate exchanges of opinions and experiences in different cultural contexts. In addition, there will be cultural events and the chance to participate at the Mass celebrated by Pope Francis on the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, Patrons of the City of Rome.
