Israeli troops target Gaza’s main hospital

The operation began before dawn on Monday, and footage from social media contained the sounds heavy gunfire in the locality of the hospital.
Daniel Hagari, an Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Spokesman, announced the raid in a video release, saying the army had intelligence that demanded immediate action.
Further reports suggested the use of the hospital by senior Hamas militants to conduct attacks against Israel.
According to the IDF, Palestinian fighters opened fire at troops from within the hospital compound and the troops returned live fire.
Humanitarian aid arrives in northern Gaza Strip
Elsewhere, relief and food aid, has reached Palestinian families in the northern Gaza Strip for the first time in months.
A dozen lorries laden with relief and food aid entered Gaza City and reached Jabalia, Beit Lahia, and Beit Hanoun, where the cargos were unpacked in warehouses belonging to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).
Meanwhile, the head of Israel’s intelligence agency is expected to hold talks with Qatari and Egyptian mediators in Quatar later on Monday. He is expected to discuss a possible ceasefire and the release of hostages.
An Israeli official said that the Mossad chief would discuss a proposal for six-week truce during which 40 hostages would be freed.
